About the Workshop

Metaphor is more than a linguistic device, it is a doorway to transformation. In this 4-day in-person training, Dr. Karim Dakroub invites participants to rediscover metaphor as a dynamic, lived experience in psychotherapy. Integrating approaches from psychoanalysis, systemic therapy, psychodrama, and art therapy, this workshop highlights metaphor’s role as a transitional object, expressive tool, and bridge to deeper psychological insight.

Through a balance of theory and hands-on exercises, participants will engage with creative modalities such as drama, storytelling, art, and craftwork. The goal: to expand the therapist’s toolkit with accessible, imaginative techniques that deepen emotional processing and self-expression.

  • Integrates theoretical foundations from diverse psychotherapeutic schools
