The Invisible Weight: Foundations of Eating Disorder Care for Dietitians

Date: July 30

Time: 8:00 PM Beirut Time

Format: Zoom Link via Reframe

About the Workshop

As a dietitian, you may be one of the first, and sometimes the only, professionals clients struggling with disordered eating turn to. Yet many in the field receive limited training on how to recognize, support, or refer those navigating eating disorders. This workshop is designed to bridge that gap.

Led by Dr. Tala Abdallah, a UK-licensed Clinical Psychologist and Lebanese-licensed Dietitian, this training offers a practical foundation in eating disorder care, with a focus on providing sensitive, psychologically-informed support in a post-pandemic, body-conscious world.

This isn’t just a workshop, it’s a call to elevate the standard of care in dietetics and empower dietitians to confidently meet the growing mental health needs of their clients.

  • Gain an overview of screening, assessment, and intervention techniques used in eating disorder care
